Guild News: Archimonde Down, The Battle For Mount Hyjal Won.
Posted by Droughns on Sunday, July 20, 2008 (21:33:15) (2 reads)

So we finally killed Archimonde and cleared Mount Hyjal. Only three bosses remain until we beat the game ... Oh wait ...

Anyhow, we finally got 25 folks together who learned to run away from fire. And when we did it was glorious.

Special thanks to our raid leader and latest co-gm Yakhunter for all his hard work organizing and leading the guild on this fight. Here he is passing out one of the eleventy-billion priest helms we received for killing Archimonde.

Congrats to Droughns (me) on [Bristleblitz Striker], Stormryder on [Antonidas's Aegis of Rapt Concentration], Ashtaroth, Neroon, and Plushy on [Helm of the Forgotten Conqueror].

Special thanks to all in the guild who put in the hard work and effort to learn the fight. There are several who put lots into it and deserved to be there, but couldn't make the kill due to raid size restrictions, so we thank you.

Here are some artists' renderings of the fight:

This one is by the Draenei man himself, Ayleria. Notice Starlotta tanking Archimonde's face, Aquirple's space outfit, and all the detail, time and effort Ayleria put into his own toon. The rest of us are shadowy blobs in the background. Good work Ayleria. Way to be a team player and put as much effort into rendering the rest of your guildmates as you did yourself. Bastard.

This is my favorite, drawn by our friendly neighborhood huntard Korvikan. It tells the story of how I received my awesome bow of awesomeness.

Once again, thanks one and all. Keep up the good work. Illidan awaits.

Guild News: Sleepless Beats Up Emo Kids
Posted by Droughns on Sunday, July 20, 2008 (21:11:29) (6 reads)

The Essence of Suffering, Essence of Desire, and Essence of Anger AKA the Reliquary of Souls AKA every teenaged emo band, took a dirt nap a long time ago. It was thanks to us, Sleepless on Skywall. Our guild master fails at updating the front page however, so it's been a while since we killed it.

Enjoy this action shot of Lostwing tanking ROS.

Congratulations to Vestyanna on [Naaru-Blessed Life Rod], Dreg on [Dreadboots of the Legion].

Guild News: Even The Clothies Get A Chance To Tank
Posted by Droughns on Friday, May 16, 2008 (21:56:38) (9 reads)

We found Bloodboil to be a fairly interesting fight. Often said to be the toughest fight in Black Temple, our healers were definitely put to the test, not only healing ... but tanking as well.

After a couple of nights of pulls and a few revisions to the healing strategy we made quick work of Bloodboil and are preparing to roll full steam ahead on Reliquary of Souls!

Grats to Sataniel on [Garments of Temperance] and ShardTastic on [Vest of Mounting Assault].

Guild News: Plushy, Slayer of Kaz'Rogal
Posted by Droughns on Friday, May 16, 2008 (20:51:38) (4 reads)

The moral of the story: Plushy is OPed, it doesn't matter whether she's specced holy or shadow. She and Thrall just carry the rest of us. Oh yeah, and Vesty's UI is TerriBad.

Keep truckin' Skywall.

We Ain't Afraid of No Ghosts
Posted by Droughns on Friday, May 16, 2008 (16:10:53) (4 reads)

We had to call in special help for our very first Gorefiend kill. Who answered the call? Why none other than Dr. Peter Venkman, Dr. Raymond Stantz and Dr. Egon Spengler ... also known as The Ghost Busters! (We tried to get the black Ghost Buster to help out as well, but he had a previous engagement.)

They showed us a sweet spammable macro that made ghosts a snap and led to Gorefiend's demise.

Grats to Dreg on [Soul Cleaver] and ShardTastic on [Gauntlets of Enforcement]
